2. Specialist, Accounts Management & Regulatory Compliance

Location: Makati Based

a. The Responsibilities associated with this position include:

·         Validation of information pertaining to energy generated/supplied/delivered and prices to be used for billing.    The position shall be responsible in obtaining/extracting detailed information from trading and check the veracity of each information vis-à-vis from NGCP and WESM.    He shall be responsible in analyzing the given information and determine and evaluate any discrepancies and discuss it with NGCP and/or WESM for clarification/correction.   He shall also conduct actual meter reading from  the site to establish accuracy of the meter reading provided by NGCP and/or WESM.   He shall be in charge in coordinating/discussing all other specific issues with NGCP and WESM and propose/negotiate for specific measures/remedies.
·         Validation of the Statement of Accounts (SOA) provided by NGCP pertaining to the ancillary services provided by SNAP to NGCP.    The position shall evaluate the SOA with regards to scheduled capacity, capacity dispatched and prices indicated in the SOA vis-à-vis trading and WESM records and information.   He shall be in charge in the discussions/negotiations with concerned NGCP groups to discuss and settle any discrepancies. He shall also evaluate the prices being used if it is in compliance with approved rates and formula approved by the ERC.   If there are disputes in the interpretation, he shall initiate necessary actions that may involve submission of Notice of Claim (for disputed items) and discussions with concerned groups including SNAP and NGCP legal.
·         Coordination with customers with regards to queries/issues pertaining to the contracts, quantities and prices, and government regulations affecting BCQs. The position shall be responsible in dealing with the customers to address issues and disputes.   He must have full understanding of the contracts, government rules and regulations, orders, decisions, circulars that may have correlations to address certain issues and disputes.    

Other Duties:
·         Gather and maintain data base particular to ERC, DOE, WESM Rules, Resolutions, Guidelines, Circulars,  Decisions and Orders affecting the electric power business
·         Monitor current issues and potential problems pertaining to ERC, DOE, WESM Rules, Resolutions, Guidelines, Circulars,  Decisions and Orders affecting the electric power business.


b. Position Requirements:

Experience: (Minimum required experience)
 At least 3 years relevant experience in the electric power industry

Education: (Minimum required educational attainment)
Bachelor degree in engineering, economics, management, marketing, finance, accounting or law.

Skills:  (Minimum requirements in terms of knowledge and skills)
Proficient in written and verbal communication with good presentation skills
Highly analytical
Adept in interpretation of legal/contract provisions
Computer literate (knowledge, in excel, word and powerpoint)

3. Supervisor, Operations

Location: Ambuklao HEPP

The Responsibilities associated with this position include:
  • Implements the overall power plant operations, programs and procedures.
  • Analyzes all power plant operating parameters, operational problems and troubles and implements immediate corrective measures to ensure continuous ,reliable power plant operation
  • Coordinates closely the operation of the generating units with Trading Team, System Operator and Production Planner on any immediate operational changes.
  • Coordinates with maintenance team thru the use of Maintenance Management System (MMS) Program.
  • Ensures safe, profitable and environmentally compliant power plant operation.
  • Implements power plant safety, energy conservation measures and good housekeeping programs; leads prudent utilization of materials and other resources.
  • Conduct routine inspection of major plant equipment during his tour of duty; Ensures smooth turnover of responsibility from outgoing shift to incoming shift.
  • Leads and motivates direct reports thru training, coaching, counseling, rewarding and disciplining.
  • Consolidates reports of team members and prepares operational reports
  • Issues permit to work to maintenance personnel before any maintenance works and closing.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by higher authorities.

b. Position Requirements:

Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the same field, at least two (2) years of which were at supervisory level.  

Education:
Graduate Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Licensed Engineer.

Skills:
  • Has working knowledge of best practices in hydro power plant operations and industry standards.
  • Ability to put in practices his knowledge in the field and to transfer the technology to power plant personnel.
  • Has strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Computer literate and with good oral and written communication skills.

Behavioral requirements:
Must possess sound decision-making, excellent track record on work performance, extensive working knowledge in power plant operations and maintenance; keen and alert.

4. Main Control Engineer

Location: Ambuklao HEPP

Main Duties and responsibilities:
  • Operate power plant generating units and auxiliaries through the HMI(Human Machine Interface)
  • Monitor and analyze Ambuklao and Binga reservoir elevations to ensure safety and the best utilization of resources
  • Implement start-up and shutdown of generating units
  • Prepare daily monitoring reports, interruption reports, spillage reports, etc.
  • Implements initial trouble shooting or corresponding remedial measures to address equipment failure and sustain the availability of generating units.
  • Assists the Operations Supervisor in coordination with Trading Team/Binga Control/NGCP/NPC-FFWSDO/Local Barangays

b. Position Requirements:

Experience: (Minimum required experience)
  • 2 years power plant experience
  • Power plant Operation and Maintenance
Education: (Minimum required educational attainment)
  • Licensed ME/EE/ECE
  • Preferred PME

Skills:  (Minimum requirements in terms of knowledge and skills)
  • Background in PLC (Programmable Logic Circuits)
  • Computer Literate
  • Communication

Behavioral requirements:

Keen on details, High comprehension, willing to go on shifting schedule
